BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- The China National Symphony Orchestra (CNSO) will put on a New Year's concert at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) on Dec. 28.

During the 120-minute show, the music ensemble will perform classical pieces from eight virtuosos, including Tchaikovsky's "Grand Pas de Deux," Verdi's "Caro Nome" from the opera "Rigoletto," and Puccini's "Chi il Bel Sogno di Doretta" from the opera "La Rondine."

The show will be conducted by Li Xincao, the chief conductor of the orchestra who has led the ensemble on tours around the world since 1999, and will feature young violinist Li Yuhe, soprano Dai Ziyi, as well as tenor Wang Zenan.

Founded in 1956, the CNSO, as a national symphony orchestra, has undertaken many major performances on significant diplomatic occasions and brought the sensuality of strings and classical music to audiences around the world.

Tickets for the show are now available on the official website of the NCPA (www.chncpa.org) ranging from 100 yuan (about 14 U.S. dollars) to 300 yuan.
